Just two days after seeing Born Ruffians (refer to previous post), I had the oppurtunity of seeing one of my favourite bands ever: TV on the Radio.
Trekking all the way down to Sound Academy was worth it.
This is a band that is not only tight and enjoys what they're doing, but also put on a great show (even if it is a little flashy.)
They're clearly not for everyone, but the crowd was definitely enjoying it, as they went through 14 songs in just an hour and a half (and that's impressive for a band whose shortest song is probably 4 minutes.)
Set list:
1. Young Liars
2. *I must have been too into it for this one, cuz I have no recollection of what it was, but I believe it was off of Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes.
3. Caffeinated Conciousness
4. Blues From Down Here
5. Will Do
6. Province
7. Red Dress
8. Crying
9. Staring At The Sun
10. Repetition
11. Wolf Like Me
Encore:
12. A Method
13. Forgotten
14. Satellite
An amazing show overall, and nice to see a band that's personable and will get the audience involved as well. They have five albums out: Ok Calculator; Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes; Return to Cookie Mountain; Dear Science and Nine Types of Light
As always, listen and enjoy
